The public may walk all around the box and see inside into the back stage mechanics where the team work to create the scenes.

Between the scenes Surface’s will continue to enchant and surprise passers by. Cogs and counterweight systems wind up and trigger mechanisms and devises like; cascades of water, projection, wind turbines and mobile pieces of set.

The 4th wall

The transparent wall that covers the proscenium arch of the stage represents the themes we are exploring:

  • The computer screen that transfixes us into our cyber bubble reality.
  • A window into the vast and ever expanding cyberspace
  • The wall we create to protect ourselves.
  • The 4th wall in theatre that divides the audience from make believe.
