Simone and Joseph share a passion for telling stories through profound imagery that fuses aerial theater, mechanical sets, projected imagery, soundscapes and physical theater. Examples of their work can be seen in the following videos.

WHITE GOLD

White Gold took audiences on a transformational journey through Greenock’s iconic Sugar Sheds. As they walked through an immersive and surreal landscape, stories that had been gathered from across Inverclyde were brought to life by musicians, actors, and aerialists from a massive cast of professionals and volunteers..

EL CAMINO

Role : Directors, Writers, Set design.

El Camino is a truly original interactive, and immersive experiences that happens above and within the public of tens of thousands. It is a bespoke show originally commissioned for the SMF dance festivals in Florida.

UNSEGUNDO

Role : Directors, Writers, Set design, Performer.

Un Segundo is a show about Vincent who has always played by the rules. He is a man who tries to live a normal life, with normal thoughts in his normal little existence. Until his life is derailed when he discovers a new dimension of reality and his world cascades into a surreal and fantastical landscape.

PLOMO

Role : Directors, Writers, Set design.

Plomo is a one-woman show about a girl travels through South American and her interior psychological landscape.
It was performed in the Independent theater space El Galpon while Simone and Joseph were the resident artistic directors there.

COLLABORATIONS

Simone and Joseph have developed a working relationship and friendship with Mark Murphy over the past decade. He is a source of inspiration and a creative mentor for them both. He has invited them to work on some of his most ambitious and breathtaking international live events for audiences of tens of thousands. Mark has given them both opportunities to hone their skills in directing large groups of volunteers

OUT OF THIS WORLD

Role : Collaborators & Performers during the various stages of R&D.

Simone and Joseph have been part of the R&D team for Mark Murphy's new show Out of this world both in Buenos Aires and the UK. The show will be touring the UK in 2017.

LAND OF GIANTS, Titanic slipways, Belfast 2012

Role: Aerial choreographers and performers. Creative Leads

Joseph and Simone were creative leads during the rehearsals of the Land of Giants. They also trained final year students aerial theatre and choreography at the Belfast Circus school. A selection of those students flew in the show at 40 meters above a crowd of 18,000 that was situated on either side of the GIGANTIC 200m stage. The show was an outstanding success!!
The event was commissioned by the Olympic Legacy Trust UK, produced by the Land of Giants Productions and Walk the Plank.

TURKU (FINLAND) EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE

Role: Professional aerial performers and Creative Leads.

Despite temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius, the show drew a crowd of 50,000 people.The opening ceremony was the biggest single event of Turku’s cultural year as well as being one of the biggest performances ever staged in Finland.

AISLING’S CHILDREN - EDINBURGH CASTLE

Role: Professional performers and Creative Leads.

Aisling’s Children was a show that was created to celebrate the history of Scotland. It was a large-scale show was performed by 200 to an audience of 8000 in Edinburgh castle.

 

Brigid McCarthy

Role: Producers, performers

Brigid won an award from the Creative Futures Award to fly to Buenos Aires and collaborate with Simone and Joseph. The brief she set herself was to create several short theatre/dance films and to learn to edit.

SLEEPER RESEARCH

Role: Producers, performers

Brigid won a Scholarship from the Lisa Ullman Travelling Scholarship fund, which enabled her to research & development her show Sleeper during a 2 week residency at Dance Base, Edinburgh & a 2 week period with Cuerda in Buenos Aires.
